Intention
I want to map a path to expressions like "when you untie me, it feels like you undress me very tenderly" or "it was the most erotic encounter ever in my live".
This needs to go into the details of my emotional setup, the way I am and the way I do rope. It needs to cover lust and seduction, the aim to emotionally give and fill my partner. To be there, in the moment, to listen to and watch my partner very closely. To use the rope as an extension of my body, of my touch and my emotions.
Levels of technique
Photos are great to get an understanding about what’s possible with rope and they are able to let me be part of the photographers world and the way he or she sees things. But Photos can’t transport what has happened between the two persons involved during a session in a dynamic context. It is a snapshot, a point in time. Therefore, a photo doesn’t tell me if or if not the rigger used the rope with utmost virtuosity, has just fumbled around, or anything in between the two extremes. It is like getting the final result of a football game on the news compared to being right there in the stadium, seeing it, watching the energy of the crowd, and being somehow connected with the team I fancy. An image is just the end result. Photos don’t tell me anything about the rigger’s abilities, they just show hopefully good ties and the latter just tells me if the rigger knows how to finalize a specific tie.
