What we need to do a Kinbaku show is the following:
Suspension point
Something to suspend someone from. That can be attached to the ceiling, a bondage frame or a thrust system. This point need to hold at least 300kg (ca. 600 lbs). Please consider that suspension bondage is not static load but dynamic.
Forget any type of bondage spider. Those are to limited in space. They are OK for demos but not for shows. The best layout for a bondage frame is H-Shaped.
Height
The hight of this point should be about 280 cm (7,3ft). If the point is heighter than that, we need a chain - or something else not stretchy - to lower it and a carabiner fitting this chain to attach our suspension gear to. This construction needs to hold at least 300kg (ca. 600 lbs).
Stage size
It depends...
The best size is 5x5m (15x15 ft) but I can managed with less than that. When it goes below 4x4m (12x12 ft) it gets stressfull and I don't see why you want to have stressed artists.
Stage floor
Stage floor needs to be clean, free and even. No chemicals should be used beforehand by other artists because we may go on stage bare feet and don't want to get any chemical accidents. If you have a fire show going on the same night, please put them last.
Backstage
A room to get changed, warm up and store our gear. We need this room for us 45 minutes before our show starts. If this room is not lockable, we need a solution so that our gear don't get lost during our show - we can't be on stage and take care of our stuff at the same time.
A mirror, table and chairs would be awesome!
This room should not be used to smoke pot before our show. Have those fumes in the air may lead to unwanted states of mind. Having a clean and focussed mind is always best when hanging a life on strings.
It would be absolutely great if some beverages (water, coke) are available. No alcohol please.
Music
We can bring our own music. It depends on the show which music we pick but it ranges from soft to hard. We have Gothic, Rock and Tekkno as well as Heavy Metal or Opera or japanese drums (Taiko). We have performed with live acts (Opera, Punk, Gothic and Chamber). Our music will be on a CD ready for the DJ and it's already mixed. Just press start :)
But if you really like, we can use any music available or none at all.
Fire
We may use candles. Please inform us if that's not OK with and inside the venue.
Water
We may use water. Please inform us if that's not OK with the venue.
